3 Months Old

Three months?? Where did the time go? We can't believe what a difference four weeks can make. So many milestones this month! To our baby girl...

What a month it has been. We witnessed so many milestones this month and we can't wait to see what next month holds. You're so much more active and vocal this month. It seems as though your personality shows more and more each day. With that, we grow more and more in love with you. Daddy and I say this often, but we truly don't know what we did to get so lucky in life...particularly with you. We love you sweet girl.

A few of your milestones this month:
-Drool. Oh dear, you drool so so much! Our arms are usually drenched after holding you.
-You LOVE your hand. Every time we look over, we see your hands in your mouth. Discovering new things all the time!
-We had our first family date night on Valentine's Day to celebrate mommy and daddy dating 12 years! We went to a movie and had Chikfil-A drive through for dinner. Your first movie was "Safe Haven" and you slept for the first 30 minutes of the movie. The remainder of the time included eating your hands and pooping. It was the most fun we had in a long time because it included you :)
-You visited grandma and grandpa for the first time in Long Beach (2/16/13), that's when we heard you laugh for the first time! Cutest sound we've ever heard. You've laughed on and off since then, but nothing consistent. We love it when you do though.
-Your first night away from home was at Ong/Ba Ngoai's house (2/23/13). You knew you weren't home somehow and were a bit fussy, but somehow, you slept just like you would at home.Ong/Ba Ngoai were so excited to have you over for a slumber party.
-You started sleeping in your own room, in your own crib (2/25/13). It was harder for daddy than it was for you. It didn't even faze you! You are so independent already.
-We've confirmed that you LOVE baths. You kick so much every time you're in your tub and your face is of pure contentment. It's one of my favorite times of the day is to watch you in your tub.
-You put up a fight with the bottle, but I kept trying. The night before your "Stand Off (3/3/13)", you were so tired coming back from a trip to San Diego (visiting your friend Micah), and after I changed you into your PJs and falling asleep in my arms, you took a bottle for the first time. 2 whole ounces! I felt so proud and relieved. It took another two days for you to really take the bottle...actually, just yesterday you guzzled down two bottles without putting up a fight...hopefully it sticks!
-You learned how to self-soothe. You discovered you could make yourself content if we couldn't by putting your thumb in your mouth! Daddy was right, you're a thumb sucker. Oh, it's only your left thumb too! We're allowing it for now, but if you're still doing it at one, it'll be another battle of the wills!!
-You started sleeping through the night just this week. You will sleep around 10+ hours all on your own! The first night was really tough for mommy. I kept checking the monitor and staying up to listen to see if you'd cry out for me.
-You hate car rides. It's very much hit or miss with you. Most of the time, you cry when the car is not in motion. It pains us each and every time...
-Reading is your favorite thing to do! When I read to you, you start gabbing non stop! You stare at the book and as I read, you read along. It is probably the cutest thing I've ever seen.
-You and I started massage class offered by the hospital. It is so fun and you are so cute in it! You are so well behaved and of course, you're the most talkative in the class...if you didn't get the memo, it's supposed to be a relaxing and quiet class! ;)
