2 Months Old

Today, our baby turns two months old.  We can't believe how quickly time has flown by and how much she has grown.  To our baby girl...

Everyday we are in awe of the little person you are.  Every coo, every sound is relished because we know how fleeting these moments can be. Having you has changed our perspective on everything in life.  Thank you for making us laugh and warming our hearts. We cannot wait to see what the next month will hold for our little family. We love you endlessly dear Olivia.

A few of your highlights this month:
-12 lbs 8 oz (6 week checkup)
-23.5 inches long (6 week check up)
-You love your butterfly and giraffe toy, but mostly your butterfly.  We've named him Billy.
-Tough putting you down for the night -figured out around 8 weeks that you need to be swaddled super super tight...this way we'll get 2 hours out of you. You always fight it though.
-You talk a lot now. A lot. Your most talkative time is in the morning.
-You mostly object to tummy time. You'd rather be on your back on the activity mat.
-You won't take a bottle.
-You kick a lot.
-You've figured out mommy is the best soother and when you're at your fussiest, that's when mommy is the most effective.
-The longest you've slept through the night is 4 hours...it's happened only twice.
-You've outgrown a lot of your clothes. Luckily 3 month clothing still fits you. On a Monday you fit one outfit and by Saturday it was too tight. Daddy had a hard time with that -the realization that his little girl is already getting too big.
-You went on your longest car ride ever -2 hours to San Diego. You slept the entire ride there and cried from San Clemente all the way home.
-You started to go on walks around the neighborhood in your stroller with mommy and Bruno and you absolutely love it.
-You've just discovered you have hands. This discovery entails you putting those hands in your mouth...all the time.
-You got your first set of vaccinations and were in a drowsy state for a day afterward.
