7 Months Old

WOW.  Seven months.  We say it often, but we can't believe all this time has passed. It's gotten to the point where we just don't remember what life was before this little girl came along.  How did we function? Our lives have truly changed, but I think we can safely say it's for the better.  Sure, we don't go out as often, we don't stay up as late, and we aren't as carefree. But seriously, we now have a love greater than we'd ever expect.  We have a little bundle of goodness that makes us want to be better people all the time. Going out, staying up and carelessness have nothing on this new life filled with love, responsibility and endless joy.

Slow down sweetheart. How did we get to seven months already? This month has been particularly hard for mommy. Seeing you up until six months has been way easier, this month has been a milestone for mommy. It's too close to one year.  And one year leads to two years, and two years leads to thirty. It just feels like time is flying and we try to savor each moment with you and capture those memories in our mind. Everything happens so quickly, though.  One day you were toppling over when we placed you sitting on the floor, the next day we see you've gained your balance and posture and you're sitting all on your own clapping and laughing away. I'm not sure what next month holds, but I'm sure you'll continue to amaze us with your growth and we'll continue to shower you with our love. I'm unsure of how to put into words how much we love you each and everyday.

A Few of your Milestones this Month:
-You had your first "sick" moment -constipation struck you the week of 6/17.  We took you to the doctor on 6/18 at that time you hadn't gone poop for six days and the night before you didn't sleep a wink. You continue to have constipation from time to time so we really celebrate all of your poopie moments. We never thought we'd celebrate poop. Ever.
-Thanks to your constipation, we found out you hate prune juice. Hate is an understatement.
-Thanks again to your constipation, you started to wake in the middle of the night again, but this was short lived thank goodness.
-You are starting to wave your hand when I tell you to wave "bye-bye." It's probably one of the cutest things we've seen.
-You are beginning to have separation anxiety.  You are particular to mom, especially around other people.
-You have eaten plums, nectarines (your favorite), carrots, watermelon, mangoes
-You started clapping 6/29.
-You can sit up on your own without toppling over. You love sitting up now.
-You spent your first Independence day at Ong Ba's house.  We watched fireworks and you were not afraid, you were mesmerized.
-You still have no teeth.
-You still eat very little...mommy calls you her little bird. The freezer is running out of room...mommy's milk has taken all the space since you can't keep up with production!
