6 Months Old

I can't believe it. Six months. Half a year. Has all that time really passed by since this little girl joined our family? Time is flying and I can't help but think to myself, can't we freeze time to keep you this small forever? The other part of me can't wait to see you grown up.  It has been so fun to see you turn into this little person. For your mom and dad's sake, would you just slow down just a little bit so we can soak in your goodness just a bit longer?

Six months old and you're already making us laugh.  Everyday you're doing something new -growing, smiling, laughing, rolling, giggling. Your dad and I laugh every time we see you scrunch your nose. Our heart melts when you give us that loving glance. A piece of your personality peeks out every day and we're so happy and lucky to see you grow right before our eyes. We love you dearly and we can't believe how lucky we are to have you in our lives.

A Few of your Milestones this Month:

-Length: 27.25" (90th percentile)
-Weight: 17 lbs 5 oz (70th percentile)
-Head Circumference: 43" (70th percentile)
-Rolled from belly to back
-Sat in your high chair for the first time and loved it!
-Ate solid foods for the first time (first it was rice cereal 5/27)
-Still not taking very much milk -you max out at 4 oz per feeding
-You've eaten avocado, bananas, and sweet potatoes
-You have recently started saying "dadadadada." It's super cute but you have no idea what you're really saying.
-This past week you have slept through the night without waking! That's 8:30pm until about 7 am! Amazing! Thank you!
-You went to the Safari zoo for the first time. You had a slight meltdown on the tram ride, but in general you were such a great kid.
-Mom has coined the term poop-splosions. It never fails that you poop when placed in your car seat or the bug chair grandpa got you. On a recent outing to World Market with mom, you poop-spolded so badly that mom felt deserving of the blue chair that now resides in our home :)
-Amanda your nanny has also noted that you're napping a bit longer! Forty minutes to an hour and sometimes 2 hours!
